Flavio Barba launches this year his first book, Chord Melody -10 Arrangements for Guitar, with audios and play alongs.
In 2016 he formed the Coletivo Um group in partnership with the musicians, João Cristal (piano), Marinho Andreotti (bass) and Ale Damasceno (drums), the group came up with the objective of developing an authorial and reinterpretations repertoire.
In 2015 it created the Jazz4music, a project that invites great musicians from São Paulo jazz scene to touch reinterpretations of jazz themes and Brazilian music, always recorded live and published on the channel:
Launched in 2009 his second disc “Novos Ares” which had the special participation of Roberto Menescal.
And once more he is being well recognized by specialized critical of Brazil, Europe and USA through exclusive interviews in the Guitar Player magazine, 2009 October Issue, great critic in the French website Music Metis, played in Jazz Radio.com, Toronto Radio Jazz FM91, Italy Radio Antenna Uno, Nebraska EUA radio KZUM 89,3, Washington EUA Radio KBCS 91,3 FM, exclusive interviewed Paulicéia Jazz Blog, Launching show in the Santo André SESC, 9° Paranapiacaba Winter Festival.
Launched in 2004 his new instrumental CD composed by himself was very accepted by specialized critic, Guitar Player, Guitar Class, Cover Guitarra
Played in different radios in Europe, Sunset and Jazz, Penelera Radio (Italy) and KZUM 89,3 USA which dedicate a special program about his new CD. He´s also did shows in SESC in different cities, Campinas, Rio Preto, Santo André, Santana, Belenzinho, Consolação, Itaquera, Araquarara and several festivals in Jazz pubs in Sao Paulo. Winter Festival of Paranapiacaba, Acoustic Stage of Santo André, Syndikat Jazz Bar, At Live Music and Ton Ton Jazz Bar.
He´s also did several advertising jingles for Radio and TV for the following Co. Claro, Bradesco, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Healthy, Avon and others.
As Sideman, he played with famous singer Roberta Miranda and with the humorist Tom Cavalcante in the musical show O tom do Tom with musical direction of Maestro Eduardo Lages and several MPB artists such as Adolar Marin, Rita Braga, Ernesto Guevara, Reynaldo Bessa, Zeca Aquino, Graça Cunha, Zé Guilherme, Consuelo de Paula, Tuca Fernandes, Marcia Cherubin, Virginia Rosa, Elio Camale, Rubi, Projeto Itamar Assumpção from A to Z.
